Delete your account
You can delete your Mochi account any time. Deletion runs on a 7-day grace period: it's finalized after 7 days and can be cancelled any time before then.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
Open Mochi and go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm to schedule the deletion.
- It enters a 7-day grace period; the account is marked pending-deletion and is purged automatically when the window ends.
- You can cancel any time during the window via Settings → Account → Cancel deletion — your account and diamond balance are fully restored.
- Before deleting, you may back up your server-held records (JSON) via Settings → Account → Export my data.
2. What gets deleted
When the grace period ends and deletion is finalized:
- Personal info is permanently deleted: login identities (phone / third-party login), device bindings and sessions. This cannot be recovered.
- Diamond balance is cleared: any remaining diamonds are forfeited — no cash-out, no refund.
- Synced cloud data is deleted: if you used multi-device sync, the account-bound chats, memory points, pet profiles and growth progress on our server — plus generated outputs (animated character, clips, stickers) — are all removed.
- Local data (pets, chats, memories, photos you uploaded) lives on your own device by default — uninstalling the app or deleting the pet in-app removes it.
3. What is retained for legal / accounting reasons
Transaction / order records are kept in anonymized form for accounting and legal obligations. Once your identity is deleted, those records no longer map to you.
4. Can't open the app? Request deletion by email
If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, you can still request deletion:
- Email your request to privacy@mochi.xin, including the phone number / account you sign in with so we can verify it's you;
- After verification we run the same process for you (personal info deleted, diamonds forfeited, transaction records kept anonymized).
